When Christophe Lidy was born in Mulhouse, France, he was already on his way to an outstanding career in fine cuisine. His family had a strong cooking tradition, and the region in which he lived, German-influenced Alsace, is famous for its own regional cuisine. Wanting to see the world, he started in Paris, where he trained under chefs Michel Rostang and Daniel Bouche. With this strong background, he moved to New York to work at Bistro Raoul´s before heading south to Brazil. Now at Garcia & Rodriguez, he heads one of the newest and most dynamic French restaurants in the pulsating and exciting city of Rio de Janeiro.
