Tasting the deep Italian flavors at Veni, Vidi, Vici, you would never suspect that executive chef Jamie Adams was born and raised in Atlanta. Following studies in English at Georgia State University, he worked his way through the restaurants, hotels, and resorts of Italy while indulging his passion for Italian food and learning the nuances and techniques of the cuisine. He was the sous chef at the Locanda Del Sant Uffizzio near Asti, and the sous chef in Restaurant Ceresole in Cremona. He even taught a five-day cooking course in Venice´s grand hotel, the Hotel Cipriani.
With his perfected skills in Italian preparation, Adams returned to the United States to work for the Buckhead Life Group of restaurants. During his tenure he has served in several positions — working at the original Fish Market, and as sous chef at the group´s highly regarded Pricci restaurant. In 1993 he was promoted to executive chef at Veni, Vidi, Vici, a position he had longed for. As chef, he practices his skills at the fine art of Italian cookery, using his familiarity with Italy´s bounty to develop original and delectable dishes. Among the kitchen´s highlights is his wide selection of antipasti picoli (small appetizers). Since taping Jamie Adams has moved on to Eno´s, where he continues his magic with Italian dishes.
