The legendary restaurant La Pyramide was established in 1923 by the equally legendary Fernand Point. The name comes from a nearby pyramid, a relic from Roman days in the region. After being run by the Point family until 1986, it fell to the group which bought the famous restaurant in 1987, La Fonciere des Champs Elysees, to select a chef to carry on La Pyramide in the tradition of M. Point. They selected Patrick Henriroux.

The weight of this responsibility rests comfortably upon Chef Henriroux’ shoulders. Henriroux, a native of France, already had a long line of distinguished positions behind him. During the development of his career he has worked at La Belle Epoque (1 Michelin star), Hotel Sablotel, Auberge Bressane (2 Michelin stars, 2 Gault Millau toques), at Hostellerie du Chateau d’As (1 Michelin star), Hotel du Goyen (1 Michelin star), Restaurant Georges Blanc (3 Michelin stars), and Restaurant La Ferme de Mougins (1 Michelin star). After renovations were completed in 1989, Henriroux took over the kitchen at La Pyramide, and has held the standards. La Pyramide has 2 Michelin stars and honors from Gault Millau; Patrick Henriroux was named Chef of the Year by Gault Millau in 1996. He has kept some of the specialties of Fernand Point, and added some of his own. And, since 1996, he and his wife have been the new proprietors of Fond de Commerce de l’Hotel Restaurant.
